Sinopsis

Adaptación de la novela homónima de Dennis Lehane. Ambientado en 1954. DiCaprio interpreta a Teddy Daniels, un U.S. Marshal que está investigando la desaparición de un asesino de la institución mental en la que se hallaba recluido. Su pista le llevará hasta la isla de Shutter. Ashecliffe es el nombre de la institución de salud mental donde se desarrolla gran parte de la trama de la película
